Jacqueline, Important note re the Global Village modems. I too have long been a fan of GV for years and it works fine in OS9 and earlier. I also am running an s900. Problem is however, once I switched to OSX, the 56k GV 'USB' modem I have became obsolete. (Not sure how the GV Serial version works.) So if you plan on moving up to OSX, you should look into that issue, but as far as I know, there is no fix for the USB GV's as of this date. I since picked up a Zoom 56k Dualmode serial modem which works fine in any OS and plugs into the modem port on the back of the case.
