Important note re the Global Village modems. I too have long been a fan of GV for years and it works fine in OS9 and earlier. I also am running an s900. Problem is however, once I switched to OSX, the 56k GV 'USB' modem I have became obsolete.

I should have clarified by saying GV modems (modem port models, not USB) worked great for me during my modem days up until switching to DSL last year while still running 9.1.
