Derryck,

I actually did that last night... I don't think it worked.

I put the X cd in the Umax CD drive...opened XPF... chose a 9gb blank drive for the install from CD and hit install...everything started fine. The computer went to restart and seem to lock up then...I had a rythmic buzzing sound for like 15 min from the computer case... nothing else happened.

I gave up... mostly because it was after 1 am and I'd had along day at work.

Now what?

Alan

Hi Alan,

Ok... this is what I'm thinking... input is welcome.

None of this is necessary.

The Panther install CD installs just fine from the Umax' built-in SCSI CD
ROM - put CD1 into the drive before you run XPF.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation about SCSI and Panther around at
the moment.
