Hey Listers, I'm about to pickup a VisionTEK/Radeon PCI dual Monitor card for my Umax anyone know about these, here's a link ... http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0177433 Hey Listers, and ...Jeff W, Dan, Leon, and Will S, I got it done! The VisionTek card has been "burned" and is being used in my S900 as I write, the task wasn't tricky at all Looking back at it. Will I think the files you sent may have been corrupt in "transit" I Came to this conclusion, after doing a "Google" on the "No ASIC is defined in Flashrom.rom" error. The google link took me back to the "MacLife/Falkemedia Forum where someone got the same error and noticed that he too opted for "another set of files" I decided to use your smaller "rom" file with the files Leon suggested and that did it. What's interesting though when I gave the FLASHROM -I command, the "romsize ID is listed as "0x2000" which indicates the larger chip ... but being not 5K, nor 10K I think its "6K" I still decided to use the smaller ROM file for the deed. IT TOOK! I immediately shut down the PC, pulled the card and installed in the same slot as my Sapphire, I powered up from the front panel (I now have to do this because I use a USB keyboard, presently) and no Xpostfacto ... it was recognized immediately by Panther and I'm using it now. All of this was an experiment, glad to say worked without a hitch "really" I probably didn't have to go through all this for an extra card, BUT WHAT THE HECK! Thanks for everyones help, as always this is a great forum, oh hope everyones having a Great and safe Labor Day weekend! Regards, Phillip -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
