Thanks, Scott I will give it a try.

When you did get that working. Does the other computer show up on the s900 monitor or do they show up on each monitor?

Does anybody know if I should have something else. Should the 9.1 also
have the apple built-in ethernet?"

I used to have problems with ethernet on my J-700. I broke down and
bought a Asante PCI card for it, installed the drivers, and it worked
fine. I later discovered the original was not the built-in ethernet
port, but, rather, when I was installing OS 9.1, not all the ethernet
extensions got loaded into the system folder. Check the system folder
in your install disk and make sure that the disk is installing all the
proper extensions. I ended up installing all of them:

Apple Enet*
Apple Enet DLPI Support*
EnetshimLib*
Apple Ethernet CS
Apple Ethernet CSII
Apple Ethernet LC
Apple Ethernet NB
Apple Built-In Ethernet
Ethertalk 2
