Hi all,

I'm still using 9.1 on a J700 as our primary computer. The internet

Perhaps you can introduce a wired router, let's say a 4-port, and keep your J700 wire-connected via the router.

Hi-

I may have a similar setup. I have a cable modem connected to a Belkin wireless 802.11g router which has 4 ethernet connections... which connect to: an S900 via cable and running 10.3.5, an S900 via cable, running 9.1 and 2 G4 laptops, a 15" powerbook with an Airport card (802.11b) and a 12" G4 powerbook with an Extreme Airport card (802.11g). Every thing works perfectly. I had a wireless router running 802.11b but it wouldn't connect with the 12" even though the 12" acquired the signal. So if you're getting a router make sure you get one that works with your wireless card. If you recently purchased the laptop it will probably have Airport Extreme. OS 9.1 or 9.2.2 works well with all of this.
