Code 10 means that the software has issued an instruction that the processor doesn�t understand, which is just another way of telling you that an extension is interfering with loading the rest of your extensions. For a quick try at fixing your problem start up with the shift key held down. Open your start up drive by double clicking the icon on the desk top. Open the System Folder by double clicking the folder. Open the Control Panel folder by double clicking the folder. Open the Extension Manager program by double clicking. Go down the list of extensions and uncheck the box in front of any extension that has QuickTime in the title. Restart the computer without holding down the shift key. If the problem has gone away then one of the unchecked QuickTime extensions is probably corrupted. Replace these extensions with new ones. If the computer fails to startup the problem is due to some other extension. To find the problem extension you will have to do a series of eliminations. Write down all of the extensions that have checked boxes in Extension Manager and uncheck half of the boxes. Restart the computer without holding down the shift key. If the problem goes away then it is caused by one of the extensions in the half you un-checked. If the problem doesn�t go away the bad extension is one of those that is still checked.
