Eric,
My S900 has done the same now for oh about 2 yrs. If I ZAP the pram it will
always return on the boot with a black screen. I let it go until it loads
about halfway & then I do a normal reboot. Viola the screen comes back to
life & it will hum along for several days until it crashes.
The crashing problem has been my curse but I have put up with it. I was
gonna sell it several months ago when I got my new dream Mac but I gave it a
new life in my new office. I have confessed that I will never get rid of it.
