I totally agree. I've spent entirely too much making older equipment
faster when I could have bought new or newer for less and had a faster
machine.

Well...I can say that the 900 mhz upgrade made a HUGE
difference in Mac OS X. I can also say that if you
don't already have a Mac, you are MUCH better off
buying a Mac mini unless you need an S900 for some
reason. The new Mac mini has much, much, MUCH better
performance than my FrankenMac. FYI.
