Hi,

Just reading all this post, have you tried setting up apple share on the
older os? As os x is supposed to be pretty good at handling networks, I had
no trouble networking my pc's to my iBook running panther.  I'm sure its
something simple but I can't really help out in the physical side as both my
other macs that would run an older operating system need new hard drives
:-( hope that you manage to get it sorted.

And just curious what is rendevous or bonjour I've seen it in iChat and
skype but don't know what it really is.
