Andrey, So, I went through the process of compiling the whole elphel source tree, based on the latest 8.0.9 source tarball. While the compilation fails (see my previous e-email), at least now I'm at a point where I have the netboot-related files, like etraxfsboot.
My plan is to flash the camera using netboot, with the 8.0.9 image file downloadable from sourceforge. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. I'm following the steps here: http://wiki.elphel.com/index.php?title=Netboot_firmware_upgrade and I get stuck at the "Starting boot..." location: # netboot -mac 000E64081973 -ip 192.168.0.9 -nfs 192.168.0.20:/nfs -cmd update -d eth0 -nfs_dir /nfs Using internal boot loader: INTERNAL_NW - Network boot (default). Using internal boot loader: INTERNAL2 - Level2 boot. Starting boot... I'm entering netboot mode by plugging the network cable in and out of the camera several times. at the end, the network cable remains in, and the yellow led lights up constantly, while the green led flashes vigorously for a while. but, the netboot process stays at the same level. then the green light goes out. (the behaviour of the green light is the very same, if no netboot script is running) the images files I have from the image353-8.0.9.tar.gz tarball at /nfs, which is also accessible at 192.168.0.20:/nfs what am I doing wrong? Akos PS: this is getting quite annoying. I've re-compile half the universe by now, including a custom gcc 4.2, the whole elphel distro, etc. just to be able to flash a binary image - but to no avail :( _______________________________________________ Support-list mailing list [email protected] http://support.elphel.com/mailman/listinfo/support-list_support.elphel.com
