Sorry this just looped endlessly as the SM attempted to verify the server.

Hum, afaik it should get the certificate from the adress, complain about
the "error" it found and allow to add the certificate anyway.
Although I have to admit that I haven't had your special case with
ip/domain mismatch yet but mismatch in domain-names and in another case
self-signed certificates. I would have expected it behaves like in my
first case. Sorry, I wouldn't know where to fix this then.
