You don't mention what operating system you're using, so I'm assuming
Windows.

It is possible that you had SeaMonkey 1.1.X running with Quick Launch
enabled? If so then SeaMonkey 1.1.X may be running all the time. With
that, when you attempt to launch SeaMonkey 2.0, it will see that there
is a SeaMonkey already running and just open a new window from that.

Try shutting down SeaMonkey, including the quick launch, then verify
there is no "seamonkey" mentioned in the task manager under the Processes
tab (make sure you 'show processes from all users', if available).

Once they're all gone, try launching SeaMonkey 2.0 and see what happens.

If this is the issue, note that without some extra effort, you can't
run both versions at the same time. If you want to migrate to 2.0,
you'll want to disable the Quick Launch feature in the 1.1 version, so
it won't keep starting SeaMonkey 1.1 when you boot/log-in to your machine.

Best Regards,
