Thunderbird 2.x had it as well. I posted in mozilla.dev.apps.seamonkey
and the response was that it simply hadn't been ported over yet, due
to very few mac devs available to do the work. t should get there
eventually.

That's kinda what I figured. I use TB strictly as a read-only newsreader
on my main machine, but I plan to fool around with 3.0's full
functionality on my MacBook. That upgrade went smoothly, and even
imported all of my SM 2.0 groups and prefs without a hitch - even my
stored passwords and Master. I just had to set my personal prefs for the
release, as usual.

So far TB 3.0 hasn't proved to be a bad deal...don't like the shrunken
icon for Attachments in the Preview Pane tray, though...

I don't know. Every time I look at it, I'm really glad I use SeaMonkey.

SM is still my mainstay...but I use TB when I want to separate servers or subscriptions from my SM profiles just so I don't have to look at them. Sort of a "stay on task" trick for me.

I will say, the TB team seems to have done a better job of building a "Mac-like" Mac interface than the new default SM one...with the exception of the shrunken Attachment icon. I was a bit surprised.
