Just shows the the part setting default Browser.

I have Safari on my system, of course, and I am very familiar with this dialog. However, Camino has a very similar dialog. Firefox has a way of setting itself as default, without accessing Safari.

Before in order, to differentiate between SM 1.1.18 and SM 2; I renamed
SM 2.0 to SeaMonkey2 and left SM 1 as SM. I was able to see both in drop
down list.

And FYI: there is the same setup for default e-mail Client in Mail as well

Yes, and Thunderbird can set itself as the default client without accessing Mail.

I think SeaMonkey should have such a way, since it is no longer necessary to go through Safari's prefs, and hasn't been since Panther.
