Hum, it's not that bad for me but you're right usually SM2 should perform better in javascript performance than SM1, not worse.


Here is another site (Dutch) it freezes SM2 completely CPU Load 100%
SM 1.1.18 is sluggish but browsable.

I cannot confirm that, SM2 is at 0% CPU load when browsing that site here. This seems to be another issue then. (try verify that in safe-mode or with a new profile, if it's gone then, probably an extension causes this)
