Frog, I see Mark is assisting you with this, but can I try a different
tact.

Open one of your SM's mails and have a look at the Edit drop down
list. Near the bottom you should see "Mail & Newsgroup Account
settings". Select this, then, in the new screen, select your mail
account and, more specifically, select Server Settings of your mail
account. At the bottom of this screen there is a section called "Local
directory" which shows where your mail account should be. Note this
location.

Close this Version of SM Mail and open your other SM Mail, go to this
same "Local directory" location.

Are these two locations the same??? (Hopefully not!!)

Report back.

Daniel

Thank you Daniel for helping me.

I did as you suggested and the two mail accounts are in different
locations. Here is what I observed when I did as you suggested:

SEAMONKEY 1.1.18
C:\Documents and Settings\Frog\Application
Data\Mozilla\Profile\Frog-SeaM\g62n48iz.slt\Mail\incoming.verizon.net

SEAMONKEY 2.0.3
C:\Documents and Settings\Frog\Application
Data\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profile\v1pbu8dh.default\Mail\incoming.verizon.net

Crazy question--does the word "default" in the second one refer to the
profile I am using? I know that the Profile Manager in 2.0.3 indicates
that I am using a "default" profile.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Frog

O.K., Frog, I see Lee and Mark have again answered the questions you ask, so I am going to continue in my own direction.....

When you open your SM 2 Mail profile, does it show the same mail as your SM 1.x profile contained when you installed SM 2.x??

i.e. when you first installed SM 2.x, when you set up the mail portion, SM 2.x is supposed to make a copy (not import, but make a copy) of your SM 1.x profile, so the two default mail profiles should have been exactly the same at one time.
