Running SeaMonkey 2.0.3 on Windows XP. My SeaMonkey home page is my
bookmarks.html file, which obviously does not require any Internet
connection.
While a Web page is loading, if I select the Home button on my
Navigation toolbar (moved from the Personal toolbar), my bookmarks
complete load. However, I still see download activitive through my
dial-up modem, sometimes 10s of kilobits.
This also happens if I select the Stop button.
Why does not SeaMonkey stop receiving packets?
David, once you've started a download of a web page, SeaMonkey will keep
trying to get the bits and pieces until you tell it to stop. Even when
you do tell it to stop, the last lot of requests are still "out there"
so you may see info being downloaded, even after you hit the stop
button. I know I do!

If I've gone on to another page, the page I was on can no longer be
rendered. WHY continue to download packets for that previous page?
Yep, I'm sure I've mumbled similar sentiments!!
