On the Task bar at the bottom of your monitor, select the Start button. From the resulting menu, select [Settings > Control Panel]. On the Control Panel window, double-click the Java icon. On the Java Control Panel window, select the Updates tab. On the Updates tab, put a check in the "Check for Updates Automatically" checkbox and then select the OK button. Close the Control Panel window. -- David E.
