I seem to remember making a change in about:config, some many years ago,

memory? If I remember correctly on this subject--can this change be
made in SeaMonkey 1.1.19? If so, how do I accomplish this task?

My wife is having problems writing to the Facebook wall of her friends
while using SeaMonkey 1.1.19. I am told that "User Agent Switcher" will
fix this problem. Is installing "User Agent Switcher" the best way to
fix this problem?

((Yes, I know, this problem does not exist in SeaMonkey 2; however, that
introduces a new problem--how do I get her to switch to SeaMonkey 2.
She seems entrenched on SeaMonkey 1.1.19 and getting her to move may be
more of a problem than finding a fix for SeaMonkey 1.1.19.))

Thanks for any help you send my way on this subject.

about:config

Type in search user agent.

when user agent string comes up double-click on and on the end */not Firefox 3.0*

If you do this it will forever identify SM to sites as FF. I know the SM developers don't like this. But With SM1 officially dead and buried. I don't suppose it would not make a lot of difference.
