I seem to remember making a change in about:config, some many years ago, that caused the predecessor versions of SeaMonkey to appear on the net as if were Firefox or Internet Explorer--how far out in left field is my memory? If I remember correctly on this subject--can this change be made in SeaMonkey 1.1.19? If so, how do I accomplish this task?

My wife is having problems writing to the Facebook wall of her friends while using SeaMonkey 1.1.19. I am told that "User Agent Switcher" will fix this problem. Is installing "User Agent Switcher" the best way to fix this problem?

((Yes, I know, this problem does not exist in SeaMonkey 2; however, that introduces a new problem--how do I get her to switch to SeaMonkey 2. She seems entrenched on SeaMonkey 1.1.19 and getting her to move may be more of a problem than finding a fix for SeaMonkey 1.1.19.))

Thanks for any help you send my way on this subject.

Yes - the only plugin I use is User Agent Switcher. What I like about it is that it is un-doable as easily as it is doable...at will, and during the same session.

I also use this page to construct/verify/reference user agent strings:

With User Agent Switcher you can simply build a library of strings and use any one you need, any time you wish...without having to monkey with about:config at all. And it reverts to default on session closure.
