The reason I ask is that some groups include message response links within the digest messages... using those will route the message to the proper thread.
otoh, it's easy to setup seamonkey to handle individual forum email responses using filters to move incoming forum messages to a folder used only for that forum so they don't clutter your regular email...
...then, just go to that folder when you are ready to deal with forum responses... you can set the display to threaded which will be specific to that folder, then use view/threads/threadswithunread to make responses simple and fast.
