Thanks for all your help NoOp,
Bogged down w/ Friday deadlines here at work and am shortly going to
retest some of these actions I did a while back ago and perform the ones
that apply. I can't remember if I tried all of them or some of them
(I'm pretty sure it was all but it's still worth a second look, just to
get them to stop bugging me about it, it's funny- I've never had Issues
with SeaMonkey and it is remarkable what nit pickin' they come at me
with, They prolly' think I'm just an idiot anyways ;-) None of these
trips would I ever encounter personally.
I'm running on xp64, SeaMonkey 2.0.4
This all happened when they used the older qualcomm eudora 'til it
couldn't handle certain issues they were having and asked me if I knew
another e-mail app that could import eudora - teaches me for not keeping
my yap shut.
been using mozilla Suites since prior to the netscape 4.9 handoff to
aol. and have never had any complaints, I guess others just like to nit
pic any unknowns to death - sorry
Once again, thank you for your help
Sincerely

No,
went through this several weeks ago, didn't work either
the 'browser.download.pluginOverrideTypes' isn't even listed in
seamonkey's about:config, I'm sure it applies to firefoxes more
developed app manager, and I think I did the rdf delete as well (didn't
happen as well). Will do it all again when I get time today and find if
I missed something. Thanks anyways, just wondering if somebody else had
to go through the same and had a quick answer
Ah. You're right. But the instructions show:
Find the preference browser.download.pluginOverrideTypes and, *if
it is present*, right-click on it and select reset.
Say's the same for plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types.
So I'm reckon that if they are not present you won't need to worry about
them& instead simply rename the mimeTypes.rdf in the user profile.
I can test for you later today in a test profile if you don't wish to
bork your boss' machine.
Sorry, forgot to ask: what OS& SeaMonkey version? Reason for asking is
that in linux if you bring up 'about:config' and enter 'mime' in the
filter you'll find
helpers.global_mime_types_file;/etc/mime.types
helpers.private_mime_types_file;~/.mime.types
These are not present in the Win7 SM 2.0.4 that I just booted up.
