O.K., I'll grant you that maybe, just maybe, a news story that is
of particular interest may get dropped from the main page, but it
is then usually available via a link.
It's a heck of a lot more than just the "maybe, just maybe" case of a
news story or something on a main page. Even plenty of open-source
projects don't seem to understand the need to keep, say,
documentation for non-current versions of software accessible.
