I have used news reads (many) and some of them, when reading a post, had a feature marked something like "next in thread." This doesn't seem to be present in SM 1.1.xx or 2.0.xx, and on a short test of SM 2.1{pre,beta,whatever} it's not there, either.

Now that tabs are more or less working, in groups where only a small number of threads are of interest, it is very useful to have the headers only in a tab, and then middle click to open the head post in a tab, and follow the thread to the end without starting the next thread by accident. With a slow network or slow server this is a nice time-saving trick. Using the "next" button or shortcut doesn't stop at the end of the thread.

Is there a way to do this, or should it be put on the list of desired features?

Note: many sites allowing archived articles from lists offer this as well, but with all of the disadvantages of web readers in general.
