Ken again. Guys, I found out from the SM 2.0.11 release notes that my
problem is a known bug (52602). (Couldn't somebody here have told me
that?!) Here is the description of the bug from the release notes:
>Installing SeaMonkey 2.0.11 into the same location where an 1.x
version of SeaMonkey is installed will result in a non-working
installation. Either install SeaMonkey 2.0.11 to a different location -
for example the default installation location as given by the installer
- or un-install the older version of SeaMonkey first. (Bug 526202)
Anyway, thanks to S. Bealieu's pointer here in answer to my question, I
uninstalled my earlier version of SM and tried again. Yes, SM 2.0.11 is
now working for me - with the exception that my vital RoboForm
password-remember software is no longer functional (see later thread
added by me a few hours ago - please help if you can).
