I don't think it's fair to ask the PrefBar developer to keep tract of
all the user agent (UA) strings that could be used. The PrefBar
developer would have to monitor too many other browser developers
constantly.
Here is my current list of UA strings that I use in PrefBar, along with
the short IDs I use for them:
Firefox 3.6 WinXP: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110420 Firefox/3.6.17
IE 7 WinXP: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR
1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
IE 5.0 Mac: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Mac_PowerPC)
Opera 9: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; U; en) Presto/2.7.62 Version/11.01
Spoof, not Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14, NOT Firefox/3.6.17
Chrome: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US)
AppleWebKit/534.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/9.0.597.107 Safari/534.13

On occasion, I might filter and ignore all newsgroup messages
