Tue, 26 Jul 2011 09:41:14 +0300, /Stanimir Stamenkov/:
Michel Gutierrez (mig) has given me a terrific hint over in
m.d.extensions and I've been able to make an extension with a
patched nsLoginManager which ignores autocomplete="off" entirely.
I'll see to make it further perform the form initialization just
after "load" (which however may cause a bit more delay until the
entire page finishes loading) so it should automatically fill-in in
more of the cases - I'll probably post back tonight (EEST).
With a bit of delay, I've uploaded initial version on the AMO site:
https://addons.mozilla.org/bg/firefox/addon/remember-passwords/
It basically provides a patched nsLoginManager.js to allow the
saving of passwords on all forms. The pre-fill of passwords on
JavaScript generated forms would still need the manual action by
using the first custom button suggested to this thread. I'll look
into it further whether I could improve it on that front.
