Thanks to all. Vaporized/Gone are the operative terms here. Bummer !! But, it won't happen again thanks to the additional know-how I've gleaned from the replies here. I tried all the suggested methods w/ negative results, The Input Box/Folder is kaput. Then did Jens 'Preferences, Mail & Newsgroups, Network & Storage, Disk Space' suggetion, and unchecked the 'Compact Folders' box so it won't happen again. Live n' Learn JeffD
