As of TBird 5.0, that should be an option in TBird. I don't know if
that option has yet been picked up for SeaMonkey.

I understand that. However, and we've had discussions about this in
the long ago past, the message stripping did not happen in email,
just newsgroups. So, my query was "What the heck? Why is this now
happening in email?" Never have seen it before. Or I'm having a Glen
Campbell moment? Geez, I hope not, I've got too much invested in
guitars for that at only 61! :-)

I don't remember a moment it hasn't worked like that for me in email - content after sig delimiter is stripped regardless whether it is on newsgroup reply or email reply (I've been using Mozilla since around 2001/v0.9.2).

Previously I've found, again regardless of newsgroups or email, sig content is not stripped if message is in HTML format, even if the message has been composed using Mozilla Mail which explicitly marks up the sig element using a "moz-signature" class.

I've tried if I select the whole message (including sig content) prior hitting "Reply", the whole selection gets quoted, regardless whether it is in sig content or not.
