Yes, double clicking also works, that's handy.
Now, for reasons unknown to me, right clicking is working.

The method I normally use is to use Composer on a local file in my
computer then upload (publish) that file.
I find that if I right-click on an image the image& link properties is
indeed greyed out. However if I first select the image and then click
the Image icon I can. Can you try that to see if you get the same?
Also, if the image is selected: Format|Image and Link Properties is
working. Just not the right-click.
Double-clicking on the image works as well.
