I use GigaNews and manually log (don't like having computers memorize
my personal data) into its usenet/newsgroup server with both my
username (e-mail address) and password. I accidentally mistyped my
e-mail address so now it only asks for my password and obviously, it
won't let me in. Is there a way to force SM2 to reask me for my
username without restarting SM?
Thank you in advance. :)
Any site that logs you in will save the resulting data in a cookie, so
begin by clearing your cookies (if you have SM set to accept only
session cookies, restarting it will clear all cookies). If you want to
keep your other cookies but just delete those from this site, go to
Tools | Cookie Manager | Manage Stored Cookies (this option is only
available in a browser window, not in a mail window). Select the site
from the list on the left and delete its cookies from the list on the
right.
If that doesn't help, look for the site under Tools | Password Manager |
Manage Stored Passwords. If you select the site from the list on the
left, you should see a full URL and username on the right. Delete the
entry on the right and you should be forced to reenter your username.
Huh? Usenet/newsgroup (NSPs) services doesn't use cookies. I am just
using SM2's Mail and News client. Not web sites.
