Hang experienced here ten minutes ago. (Has also been hanging
under 2.4.1). Scenario :

        o Seamonkey auto-updated to 2.5 on reboot.
o Attempt made to view http://www.amrita-cfd.org/tex-group/blind-pew.pdf
o Informed that Adobe Reader 9.3.4+ needed (currently on AR 8)
        o Downloaded
http://aihdownload.adobe.com/bin/install_reader9_uk_air_mssd_aih.exe
        o Installed install_reader9_uk_air_mssd_aih.exe
        o Re-visited http://www.amrita-cfd.org/tex-group/blind-pew.pdf
o Adobe Licence popped up, requiring acceptance
        o System hung.
o Plugin-container taking all available CPU
o Task Manager priority increased to real-time
o Plugin-container priority reduced to Low
o Finally able to accept Adobe Licence
o "blind-pew.pdf" displayed and fractal concealed in
final period of "too small to contain." viewed.
o Plugin-container continues to take 50% of CPU, despite
the fact that no plug-in is currently doing more than
displaying.

Its possible something that changed in core gecko affected how your Virus Scan
sees seamonkey. Or possibly an update in your virus scan is causing it to
behave slightly different.

As I said, its just a suspicion, but would love to know if it helps, or if it
doesn't.
