I'm not entirely clear on the issue you are having, but it seems that your complaint is that, on previous attempts to upgrade from 2.0.14 to a 2.1 or higher version, your bookmarks failed to migrate and, furthermore, when you attempted to import the bookmarks manually from the bookmarks.html file, your personal bookmarks toolbar didn't get imported with it. Am I right so far? OK, then. First of all, I should mention that the bookmarks migration thing, although a known issue that affects a portion of the users, is not a *repeating* issue. Meaning that, after you migrate to the new "Places" system, there won't be similar migrations on future upgrades. The issue is related to the change from the old HTML bookmarks storage to the new database storage. Therefore, once you undergo the process *once*, you won't need to undergo it again on future upgrades. With that said, how to fix a failed bookmarks migration? Well, it's a two-step process: - The first part is to import your old bookmarks.html file. From your message, I imagine you have already figured out how to do that. - The second part is to restore your personal bookmarks toolbar. This is actually fairly simple. The problem stems from the fact that the folder containing the toolbar bookmarks changed name, and the import mechanism is not smart enough to correct for that. But it's easy to do it by hand. 1.Open the Bookmarks Manager 2.look among the folders with your imported bookmarks and find a folder named "Personal Bookmarks Folder" or similar (I forget what it used to be called, exactly). Look inside it: it should contain the bookmarks you are used to see in your toolbar. 3.Next, move all the bookmarks in that folder to the new "Bookmarks Toolbar" folder.
