Under win 7 I have heard of issues that depend upon whether

is under the user application data or under program files.
Installed here under :
C:\Layered products\Mozilla\SeaMonkey
Should have been under
E:\Layered products\Mozilla\SeaMonkey ("E" = "Executable images")
but E: drive did not exist at time of installation.
Cache under :
D:\Users\*******\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Seamonkey\Profiles\********.default ("D"
=
"Data files")
Local folders under :
D:\Users\*******\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Seamonkey\Profiles\********.default\Mail\Local
IMAP mail under :
D:\Users\*******\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Seamonkey\Profiles\********.default\ImapMail
where ******* and ******** are consistent (i.e., invariant).
Do you have any idea what it might be in Win 7 that lies
at the root of this ?

CAVEAT: I am out of my depth here! What I have heard is that Win 7 is constructed to
permit multiple users with private data BUT some software store operational data in
the installation area - thus causing an apparent "conflict". Your installation could
make Win 7 think there is an issue.
