Try putting StartPage HTTPS search engine in SM search engines list. Then
search from the Search Bar using StartPage HTTPS engine. With Opera, there
is no drama about "terrifying" you regarding possible risks. Opera simply
pops up a window that says "you asked to be notified when a site uses an
untrusted cert. Do you wish to continue" and it shows me the GoDaddy cert.
Simple and easy to deal with. SM and Fx used to be this way. There is no
reason to mollycoddle ignorant of computers users at the expense of those of
us who took the time and effort to learn something about computers and
essential computer security before using them. Older versions of SM and Fx
don't have this problem I am seeing and they don't force me to jump through
a bunch of hoops in order to control certs. Plus, with Amazon, and a few
other sites, the sites are not usable on SM or Fx if you need to login
because of this bug. I can't log into Amazon with GoDaddy certs disabled.

I think I looked at that once and rejected it, but I will look again as it
could have been some other similar extension. Thanks.
