Photos taken with the iPhone upside-down or sideways are automatically reoriented when displayed by the iPhone. There is a flag in the image file that indicates the orientation of the iPhone when the photo was taken and a sensor in the iPhone that indicates the current orientation. There has been much debate about whether to reorient photos in TBird and SeaMonkey's mail-news according the the flag. See bug #298619 at <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=298619>.
Wow! I thought there was something wrong with my old computer/SeaMonkey! Do I assume other e-mail clients, beside Mozilla's, do this too? I am getting more and more iPhone's sent photographs/photos. these days. :(
