Check Places 2.6.2 works with SeaMonkey 2.14.1, so I don't see why it
should not continue to work.
It is a shame the developer doesn't want to cooperate with Add-on review
procedures, or continue to host them on his own site.

Interesting link. CP might continue to be functional in future SM, but that doesn't
mean Mozilla will necessarily let it.
