Hello all,

My challenge is that yahoo mail will NOT download on any machine, now,
since the upgrade to 2.16.2 version. This issue covers Windows 8 and
Vista Business.

I have tried turning off my Avast avp, re-doing the pop3 settings. I
have not re-installed SM yet was hoping not to have to do that.

On my android tablet and phone, with no SM, mail dl's fully.

Anyone else experience this or any suggestions as to what might correct
this situation??

TIA,

Sameul, I'll go one better. A couple of weeks ago,I set up a yahoo mail
account, but I've figure I've done something right, or not done
something at all, as I'm not able to sent to the account or from the
account!!

Not impressed ..... just as well it cost me nothing!

Daniel,

Thank you for writing. I, too, once had this challenge before switching from an American account to an Asian account. The issue was, at that time, Yahoo would not permit, without a fee, access by its' U.S. customers pop3 access. There were third party programs which were constantly blocked and etc.. just nightmare for those of us who did not want to pay for this service.

Alas, the loop hole was to get an Asian account in order to circumvent this. It has worked for over ten years so far.

Now this, which I Am thinking after hearing from Robert, above, may be an issue through Verizon. Will check it and let you know.

Of course I received a message from Yahoo's no-customer service indicating that they could not offer any help because I Am using a third party program to access email. In which case, they should not offer any input or guidance on their web site about how to set up client email readers, in my opine...

Check your settings again and let us know if you can access using your mail server setup to gain access or not.

Thank you again,

SamuelS
