Since I have OSX 10.4.6 on PPC G5 running SM 2.0.14 as I type this, I have a tendency to disagree with that. It's SM 2.1 that won't work.
There's an SM adapted to run on 10.5 following the 2.1 and higher builds but IDR the name. I run TenFourFox 17 for media rich pages, and SM for mail, news, and known non-video web pages, since I don't have OSX 10.5. (and it's STILL $100 on eBay!)
