There's an SM adapted to run on 10.5 following the 2.1 and higher builds
but IDR the name. I run TenFourFox 17 for media rich pages, and SM for
mail, news, and known non-video web pages, since I don't have OSX 10.5.
(and it's STILL $100 on eBay!)

I wouldn't recommend 2.0.14, or anything earlier than 2.7.x...the
transition was just plain too buggy and fraught with upgrade problems -
I didn't jump on the SM 2.x.x train until 2.7.1 myself, and have kept my
G5 iMac frozen at 1.1.19.
Yes, there are other folk doing PPC releases of the the latest, but I
haven't tried any of them...preferring to get mine straight from teh
originators. But as previously posted, here ya go -
