You can also move passwords from one PC to another with the Password
Exporter extension at
<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/password-exporter/>.
The page says that it is not available for SeaMonkey 2.17.1. You can
make it available; let me know if you want the instructions for doing
that.

Please tell me how to do this. Thanks very much!

John

1. At
<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/password-exporter/>,
place your cursor over the gray "+ Add to SeaMonkey" button.
Right-click and select "Save Link Target As" from the pull-down context
menu. Remember where you save the .xpi file.

2. Go to the .xpi file. Open it in a ZIP application (e.g., WinZip),
but do not extract any files. Instead, edit file install.rdf as in step #3.

3. Scroll to the bottom of install.rdf. Under the line
        <!-- Mozilla SeaMonkey -->
find the line
        <em:maxVersion>2.1b1</em:maxVersion>
Change that to be
        <em:maxVersion>2.19</em:maxVersion>
Save the result. In WinZip, that will save the changed install.rdf back
into the .xpi file.

Now you may install Password Exporter 1.2.1 in SeaMonkey 2.17.1.

I've edited the .rdf file and saved the updated .xpi file. How do I run the .xpi file to do the installation?
