I install updates to Flash and Java, each in its own folder. This
avoids not only making a plugin specific to only one profile but also
making a plugin available to other applications. SeaMonkey and other
applications always seem to find them.
Adobe Reader installs its plugins with the application. Then it copies
some plugins into SeaMonkey's plugins folder. The same is true with
RealPlayer and Quicktime.
In general, I would NOT force a plugin to install in SeaMonkey's plugin
folder.
