This avoids not only making a plugin specific to only one profile but also making a plugin available to other applications. SeaMonkey and other applications always seem to find them. Adobe Reader installs its plugins with the application. Then it copies some plugins into SeaMonkey's plugins folder. The same is true with RealPlayer and Quicktime. In general, I would NOT force a plugin to install in SeaMonkey's plugin folder.
Hmm. Thank you, David,That's what I learned almost from Day One; install plugins in the application's plugin folder. They started me doing that with NC4 and I suppose the habit stuck.
I'll stop doing it that way and see if it works for me like it works for everyone else.
