Oh, I see. That was the original circa-2007 add-on that was developed to
enable Firefox to talk to Growl (already installed in the OS). It was
later incorporated into core. It seems that we have to go full circle
now that the code was stripped from core. I downloaded the latest Growl
SDK and will have a look to see whether I can suss out what it takes to
get a plug-in working with equivalent functionality.
I don't really have the time, but if it isn't too difficult to manage,
the effort will be worthwhile.
