Preferences are set for Check Spelling as you type.
Languaage settings are appropriate.
My spellchecker does not underline the errors abive.
Strangely enough, neither does mine, but it catches them if I invoke the
spell checker manually (Edit | Check Spelling...).
Of course, quoted material is exempt from spell-checking.
