Bcc: certainly works, and I do that if I happen to be working from a
location that I don't use regularly.

The primary things I get by changing the location of where sent mail is
saved is that I don't have to remember to do the Bcc, and that I don't
have to take time later to move the message out of the Sent folder. BTW,
if working on an IMAP connection, I can also save the message for
permanent filing by drag/drop from the Sent folder into the Inbox.  But
that doesn't work for a POP connection.

I use filters for all that and set Auto Bcc so all that is handled for me.
