In the program folder for Seamonkey that is in the Windows Start menu, there's already a shortcut there for launching the mail client.

With Windows 7 (and presumably 8), use the Start search tool to look for "Seamonkey". Grab the entry for Seamonkey Mail, and drag to an appropriate location as a shortcut.

In Windows 7, I keep a copy of that icon in the Windows taskbar, and since it's the third entry away from the Start button, the keystroke combination of the logo key and the number 3 launches the mail client.

The one minor annoyance is that when Seamonkey updates, the shortcut gets deleted from the taskbar, and I have to drag a new copy in.

I just upgraded Seamonkey to 2.25 about an hour ago, and I see that I need to do that again.
