I frequently copy places.sqlite from my SeaMonkey profile to my
Firefox profile.  Also, from my SM profile on one computer to
another, etc. Simplest thing.

Works fine, provided you're willing to destroy whatever data were contained in the file on the target computer.

If you want to combine the files, a different strategy is required.
