Jennifer, could I take a stab that you have copied your profile from one computer/device to another??

When this is done, often the profile files have their properties set to "Read Only", but SeaMonkey needs to be able to write to the files. Check out the bottom (Local directory:) of the "Server Settings" screen for your e-mail account at Edit->Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings to determine where your profile is located. Completely close SeaMonkey and go to the location noted in your Windows Explorer, the Right Click on the folder/directory. Select "Properties" and make sure it *is not* marked as "Read Only" and apply this setting re-cursively.

Report back if you have any further problems.
